The Women's Association of Paladka celebrated Women's day on 18th March 2012 at Paladka church on behalf of international women's day of 8th March. The women's association members participated in the thanksgiving holy mass at 8.00 am.
Soon after the mass there was a celebration in the hall. The programme was presided over by Parish Priest Fr.Gilbert D'Souza, Superior of Palaldka convent Sr. Suma, Vice President of Parish pastoral parishad Mr. Andrew D'souza, Secretary of Parish pastoral parishad Mr. Victor Kadandale, Women's association deanery president Smt. Dorin Sequeira, President of Paladka Women's association Smt. Jecintha Sequeira and secretary Smt.Gracy D'souza were on the dais.
The programme began with a short prayer by Smt. Clotilda Miranda, Smt.Cynthia Aranha and Smt. Winny Pinto.
Smt. Jecintha Sequeira welcomed the guests and gathering. Smt. Theresa D'Souza welcomed the gathering with a welcome dance.
The talented women of Paladka Parish were honoured with flowers. Smt. Gracy D'Souza introduced the honoured.
Smt. Petrecia Sequeira, Smt. Shalet Wallikar, Smt. Janet D'Silva, Smt. Sandra Cardoza and Smt. Hilda D'Souza shared their views on different topics related to women.
A small cultural programme is presented by members of Wome's association.
Fr. Gilbert D'Souza in his message said that women of Paladka are talented. Women should have smiling face.
Smt. Winny Pinto, Joint secretary of the association proposed vote of thanks. Smt. Laveena Cardoza and Smt. Gretta Cardoza compered the programme. More than 125 parishioners attended the programme.
