Pastor speaks.......

Fr. Ivan RodriguesHello,

Greetings to you all. I'm happy to reach out to you through this website.

St. Ignatius Loyola Church has completed 100 years of its establishment and the centenary jubilee celebrations are in full swing. Rev. Fr. Salvadore D'Souza was the founder Parish Priest. Thereafter 15 priests have served this Parish. I'm privileged to be the 17th one to lead the jubilee year. St. Ignatius Loyola Kannada Medium School will celebrate its Centenary Jubilee in 1915.

We have taken up 3 major projects. The Centenary Memorial Hall is almost ready. St. Ignatius Loyola English Medium School has been started already. The Church renovation work is in progress. You may view the progress in our Website and Facebook page also. A lot of people from Paladka and abroad have contributed generously towards the projects. We remain grateful to them and pray God's blessings upon them. People offer their free labour (sarti). Even Hindus offer their free labour to the Church renovation work.

Our Jubilee celebrations will be on 15th Dec (Mass for the dead), 16th Dec (Day of religious), and 17th (Jubilee day). A lot of preparations are on the way. We seek your prayers and support for the projects to be completed.

I on behalf of the parishioners welcome you all, a special invitation is offered for all our parishioners working and living abroad, donors, well wishers and friends. It will be our joy to see you with us in Centenary Jubilee celebration.

May God bless you. May St. Ignatius Loyola pray for us all.

Rev. Fr. Ivan Rodrigues
Parish Priest

Fr. Norbert LoboWarm greetings of love, peace and joy to you all from Paladka Parish (Moodbidri-Mangalore Diocese). It is indeed a matter of great pride to speak to you through this website.

Our church is dedicated to St. Ignatius Loyola, a great Jesuit Saint.

Ignatius was a true mystic. He centered his spiritual life on the essential foundations of Christianity- the Trinity, Christ, the Eucharist. His spirituality is expressed in the Jesuit motto, ad majorem Dei gloriam- "For the greater glory of God".

Our beloved Patron- St. Ignatius has protected us all these years. May St. Ignatius unite all our Parishioners and the faithful as of one mind and one heart. May he guide us to promote peace, joy and harmony among the people of other faiths.

My special thanks to my Parishioner Alwyn and Alan D'Souza for having designed and developed this website in a unique style. Our parishioners too are grateful to them for their selfless and dedicated service. May St. Ignatius bless them and all our parishioners and all the well-wishers abundantly.

May the God grant us peace, joy and happiness with good health. May he Bless us all.

Rev. Fr. Norbert Lobo
 Ex. Parish Priest

Mr. Vincent SequeiraI am proud that our Parish has its own website. I thank Mr. Alan D'Souza for taking the initiative to start the website. I wish all the best to Mr. Alan D'Souza and to the Website.

Your co-operation is highly appreciated.

Mr. Salvadore RodriguesIt was very heartening to learn of the efforts of some of our parish members in opening the gates of Paladka Church to people online irrespective of time and distance. Once again a demonstration of the active involvement and the attachment of the Paladka Parish to our beloved patron Saint Ignatius Loyola. I therefore like to commend and express appreciation to Alan, his parents and the people behind this endeavour in keeping the parish on par with similar efforts of more modern parishes around the world. It will surely delight people originating from this parish settled elsewhere. Wishing the team behind this website success in the future and here's hoping this website dedicated to our beloved Saint Ignatius may shower his blessings upon the parish as much as the many lives it will touch and enlighten.

Salvadore Rodrigues,
Ex. Editor, "Paladkachi Zhar".
