A farewell ceremony was arranged on 05/06/2011 Sunday [immidiate after the mass in the church itself] by the parishners to the vicar of Paladka,St.Ignatius Loyola Church, who completed his 9 months of service sincerely and dedicately.
Mr.Hilary D'Souza(president of catholic sabha Paladka unit) gave a brief introduction regarding valedictory function. Mr.Victor D'Souza(secretary of Parish Council) welcomed the vicar with Fr.Valerian D'Silva (Director of St.Francis 3rd order) and Mr.Andrew D'Souza the Vice President of Parish Council.
Mr.Andrew D'Souza gave a farewell speech addresing the vicar.He praised his virtues,we will miss such a model priest but definitely our prayers will be with him and he left unforgettable memories with us and wished him a good luck. On behalf the parishners he and Mr.Victor A D'Souza offered the small gift and garland showing love respect towards our loving vicar.
Soon after that Fr.Herold expressed his feelings and the positive points which he had seen in the parishners.Since I'm fulfilling God's will and it's in far distance like Bangalore City,do not invite me for silly reasons now and then he said.He thanked all for co-operating with him also urged us to co-operate with the new vicar Fr.Gilbert in near future.
Eventually the gathering offered bouquets,garlandsand and flowers one by one to the beloved and kind hearted vicar Fr.Herold.
