The Women's Association of Paladka arranged a programme for the Parishioners on the theme " House, family and woman" on 7th November 2010 at Church hall, Paladka. Before the programme breakfast was served to the participants.
Parish Priest Fr.Herold Periera, Resource person Sr. Mishel B.S., Vice President of Parish pastoral parishad Mr. Vincent Sequeira, Secretary of Parish pastoral parishad Mr. Denis D'mello, Women's association deanery president Smt. Dorin Sequeira, President of Paladka Womens association Smt. Jecintha Sequeira and secretary Smt.Gracy D'souza were on the dais.
The seminar began with a short prayer by Smt. Benedicta Danthis. Smt. Jecintha Sequeira welcomed the guests and gathering. Parish priest Fr. Herold periera in his brief message highlighted the importance of women in the family. The members of the womens association presented a skit showing the role of woman in the family.
Then Sr. Mishel, the resource person of the day shared many anecdotes about women. She compared the qualities of women with that of men. She said that women are capable of doing all the chores done by men. She also discussed on the role of both the parents in dealing with children. Then she formed eight groups of participants and asked them to act on the themes given by her. All eight groups presented their themes in a innovative way and was admired by all.
Smt. Winny Pinto, Joint secretary of the association proposed vote of thanks. Smt. Gracy Richard D'souza compered the programme.
