Women's Association of Paladka organized a programme on herbal medicine for the parishioners on 18 July 2010. Fr.Dolphy Monteiro, Parish Priest, Sr. Agnesia Frank, Resource person, Sr. Suma, Superior, St. Ignatius convent, Mr. Vincent Sequeira, Vice president PPC, Mr. Denis D'mello, Secretary PPC, Mrs. Dorin Sequeira, President of Women's Association were present on the Dias.
Mrs.Dorin Sequeira, President of Women's Association welcomed the guests and gathering. Parish Priest, Fr.Dolphy Monteiro in his message stressed the importance of herbal medicine in health care.
Main resource person Sr. Agnesia Frank explained different aspects of health. She said that it is important to preserve Jan(people), Jal(water), Jungle( forest), Jamin(land) and Janvar(cattle). She showed many medicinal plants and explained its uses. She gave useful tips for preparing herbal medicine at home.
Mrs. Winny Pinto proposed vote of thanks and Mrs.Gracy R. D'souza compered the programme.
